Cops: Duo Found with Fake IDs, Credit Cards in Oceanside
Bank teller called police after one defendant used a fake California license to withdraw money, cops said.

Two men were arrested Wednesday after trying to withdraw money at an Oceanside bank using a fake ID, according to Nassau County Police.
A teller at Wells Fargo Bank on Long Beach Road called the police at 12:45 p.m. after he became suspicious of a customer’s license, cops said. Akeem Benjamin, 28, of the Bronx, had presented a forged California driver’s license to the teller and tried to withdraw $3,500, police said.
Responding officers found Benjamin in a van outside the bank. Cops said he had two forged credit cards and another California driver’s license with him.

Harley was charged with six counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument. Both will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
