Long Beach Officials Release Flood Advisory
Ahead of storm, city cautions residents against flooding.

Ahead of a powerful storm that is due to hit Long Island Tuesday morning, Long Beach City officials released an alert about coastal flooding for the area.
They wrote on their website:
We are anticipating heavy rain and wind [Monday] evening. The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood advisory which is in effect until 11 a.m. on Tuesday. We have a full moon and high tide is at 8:43pm.

City public works crews are clearing storm drains throughout the City to help prevent and minimize flooding. However, we are encouraging you to check and make sure your storm drains are clear.
We also advise residents to tie down or bring in any outdoor furnishings and decorations.”
