Nearby: Cops: Man Stole $6K of Scrap Metal in Oceanside
Man was wearing a "Can't Ban These Guns" T-shirt at the time of the Long Beach Road theft, cops said.

Nassau County Police are searching for a man they say stole thousands of dollars worth of scrap metal from Oceanside while wearing a “Can’t Ban These Guns” T-shirt.
Between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Oct. 12, police say the man stole about $6,000 of motor and scrap metal from 2525 Long Beach Road.

Police released a surveillance photo of the subject Thursday. Detectives said he was driving a white custom van with Georgia registration PRZ8939.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the crime or subject to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
