In this month's program, Carol will discuss how to live your healthfully, decrease the risk of disease and increase longevity using plant food nutrition. Learn about Phytochemicals and Micronutrients, the amount of fruits and vegetables per day that we as Long Islanders should eat, and how a plant food regimen can reduce the risk of diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune disease, cancer, dementia, etc.

We'll also go over Dr. Furhman's Nutritarian Food Plate and how it compares with America's Food Consumption Pie Chart, as well as lifestyle changes that can improve health, longevity, and even lose weight permanently without dieting.

Carol Leitner, MBA, Health Care Administration, Mount Sinai School of Medicine/Baruch College, has been marketing, supporting and educating the holistic health community for over 20 years through Meet Up organizations totaling 7,000 members: The Wellness and Entrepreneurs Exchange, Holistic Living on Long Island, and The Long Island Entrepreneurs Meet Ups.
