English Conversation & Learning Classes with LI Educational Opportunity Center at GN Library

The English Conversation & Leaning program is designed to empower non-native English speakers with the language proficiency and practical communication skills needed for success in the workplace. Students will enhance their English language abilities in professional contexts, enabling them to pursue vocational and career opportunities confidently. Upon completing the program, graduates should have the language skills and confidence to pursue vocational and career opportunities in English-speaking environments, contributing to personal and professional growth. All skill levels welcome.

Sponsored by the Long Island Educational Opportunity Center (LIEOC), this program has been helping students achieve their educational and vocational goals for over 50 years. Under the oversight of SUNY, LIEOC collaborates with higher education, business, industry, government, and its communities, to create a skilled workforce that remains competitive and vibrant in a global economy. Programs are held at two Great Neck Library locations this fall:

·Main Branch (159 Bayview Avenue, Great Neck): Every Friday from September 11 through December 18 at 12:30 PM. (No class 11/27)

·Parkville Branch (10 Campbell Street, New Hyde Park): Every Monday from September 14 through December 14 at 6:00 PM. (No Class 10/26)
