Cops: Man Holds Up Valley Stream Candy Shop with Knife
Robbery happened Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Nassau Police are searching for a man they say held up a Valley Stream candy shop with a large butcher knife Tuesday.
At 2:17 p.m., an unknown man approached a 51-year-old employee working at Evans Corner Candy Store on Rockaway Avenue, cops said. The two struggled before the man grabbed cash from a register drawer and ran out the door, police said.

The victim sustained minor lacerations to his left hand but refused medical attention at the scene, cops said.

The man was seen driving west on Liggett Road in a white Hyundai with yellow New York plates.
Police described the man as 5-foot-6, 160-170 pounds, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark glasses, tan scarf on his face, and black gloves.
