Cops: Man Robbed Valley Stream Bank Twice Within a Week
Man committed three robberies at two banks in Valley Stream and Floral Park within one week in February, cops said.

Nassau County Police are searching for a man they say robbed the same bank twice within one week in February.
Crime Stoppers released surveillance photos Monday of a man who robbed Chase Bank in Floral Park and Capital One Bank in Valley Stream. He reportedly hit the Capital One a second time less than a week later.
On Feb. 9 at 9:32 a.m., the man demanded money from a teller at Capital One on Central Avenue in North Valley Stream, cops said.

At 11:51 a.m. on Feb. 14, the same man approached a teller at Chase Bank on Covert Avenue and demanded money. The teller did not respond and the man fled the bank without any money, cops said.

At 1:06 p.m. the same day, he returned to Capital One in North Valley Stream androbbed the bank again, police said. He demanded money from a teller and made a verbal demand before claiming he had a gun, cops said. The teller cooperated an handed over an unknown amount of cash to the man, who fled west on Clarendon Drive on foot, police said.

Cops added that when he approached a teller at Capital One, he said “Give me $6,000.” The teller cooperated and handed over the cash before the subject fled on foot to Central Avenue, police said.
The subject was described as a white man, between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-8, 25-35 years old, thin build, and clean shaven. He was wearing a black scarf over his mouth and a black jacket with hood pulled tightly over his head in one incident. In another, he was wearing dark sunglasses, an oatmeal-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, light brown boots, and a scarf across his face.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
