Malverne Mel Predicts Longer Winter
Annual Groundhog Day celebration culminates in frigid prediction.
Malverne Mel thinks we’re in for six more weeks of winter.
The village’s trusted meteorologist told Mayor Patti McDonald his prediction inside the greenhouse of Crossroads Farm at Grossmann’s early Monday morning.
Residents took part in the ceremony despite the miserable icy weather for the annual event, which was relocated to Crossroads from Reese Park.
