West Hempstead Man Wants to Live on Mars
Robert Buccheri is vying for a chance to colonize Mars in ambitious space project.
A space-loving West Hempstead electrician wants to help humans “live long and prosper” on Mars.
Robert Buccheri, 51, and submitted his name along with thousands of others vying for a possible trip to our planetary next-door neighbor, according to Newsday.
“As I watched Neil Armstrong step on the moon for the first time, first person to step on another world, I was hooked,” Buccheri said, according to Newsday.

The winners of the competition will hopefully ship off forever -- yep, forever -- to Mars and attempt to survive and establish a colony for further human life.
Live long and prosper, Bobby!
