I verge on being fanatical about my food and diet.
That is because I have lived and dealt with diverse allergies for most of my life.
I have lost a few friends who no longer enjoy dining with me.

I also have many friends who “don’t understand,” but accept my eccentricities and join me for lunch and dinners.
I am also blessed with a number of significant others, who love me enough to not question my culinary choices.

However, I have always been relatively sensible and open to medical advice.
I also totally respect and observe the need to be a good citizen.
This morning I learned that the White House will soon advise (and possibly mandate) a third vaccine for Americans.
This advice came from an administration duly elected by the citizens of our country.
However, the occupants of the White House are not (to my knowledge) medical experts. They are validly elected politicians and government officials.
The voices I hear telling me to have a third dose of a recently discovered formula injected into my admittedly aging body, have no documented medical background.
My interaction with Covid began the second week of January, 2021 when I fell ill and tested positive with Covid-19.
Upon recovery I had the first mandated vaccination in February
Six weeks later in March, I received the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
Shortly thereafter, the CDC announced all Covid patients should wait 90 days before receiving any vaccine. It was then too late for me.
Already on medical advice I had received two Pfizer vaccine injections.
In the following spring and summer months, I suffered from severe allergies. I was advised that it was due to the amount of Covid in my body and would dissipate within six months.
That period of time is coming close, and yes, as time passes I do feel better.
Now I am being urged to get a third booster injection of this still relatively new vaccine.
What qualifies the expertise on this new medical procedure?
Do I dare ask?
Do I dare say,
“No, thanks.”
I don’t know.
