Fundraising Campaign Raises Over $50,000 For Massapequa Family in Need

The campaign was started last month to help the Scali family.

A fundraising campaign raised over $50,000 for a Massapequa family in need.

A GoFundMe page was created on July 27 to help local residents Anthony and Jackie Scali, raise money to help their sick 20-month-old son, Dino.

Just a few months after he was born, Dino had his first seizure and since then, tests were done and medication was given but he continued to have seizures, according to the page.

Bryan Mercer created the page on behalf of the family to help raise $50,000 to pay for medical bills among other bills for the Scalis.

"I don't know what will happen but these events have taken a major toll on this amazing family, I myself like everyone else would do anything to help them anyway possible," a message on the page reads.

In less than one month, the GoFundMe page raised a total of $51,857 to help the family.
