Massapequa Basketball Game to Raise Funds for Cancer Research

Fourth Annual Coaches and Alumni vs. Cancer Basketball Game set for Jan. 3.

Come on down to Massapequa High School, Saturday, Jan. 3, from 1-3 p.m. to support the 4th Annual Coaches and Alumni vs. Cancer Basketball Game. This fun-filled event, coordinated by Massapequa’s head varsity coach Martin Voigt, is a collaboration between the Massapequa High School boys varsity basketball team, team alumni, boys booster club and family and friends of the boys’ basketball program in an effort to raise money for cancer.

As in previous years, donations from this year’s event will support the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. Cash donations by players and friends or checks made out to “Lustgarten Foundation” for Pancreatic Cancer Research will be accepted. Secure online donations can also be made at the www.lustgarten.org/donate. Please check a box of your choice, and in the comments section please write “Massapequa Alumni Basketball Game.”

Basketball players from 1977-2013 have been contacted to participate in this year’s event.
