Barry Rivadue added, “Taco Bell would be in virtually the same location as Carrolls, a hamburger franchise in the ‘70s. The post office now next door to the bank was the location of Carrolls.”

Meanwhile, 125 people, or 35.61 percent, felt the business would be a bad idea.

“There is one on sunrise highway in Seaford and another up on Hempstead turnpike near 107,” said Lora Grigonis on Facebook. “They are only going to cut into their own business if they open in this location.”

Jack Leone commented, “No. They should open an I-Hop. We have enough Pizza Parlors, Nail places and animal stores enough is enough. Friendly’s is now closed and there are no Ice cream places. Also a thought is a Dairy Queen.”

“There’s an IHOP in Massapequa,” Anthony Sesack also said. “Not to mention Diners out the whazoo. DQ just opened in Levittown, as well as the first one in Massapequa.”

A small amount of people, 3.42 percent of voters, are still undecided.

“Love taco bell but It’s just the traffic that makes me shy away from it,” said reader dingdong.
