Nassau Police Report: Week Of Nov. 16

Nassau County Police released the crime report for the week of Nov. 16 to Nov. 22.

Check out the following incidents and arrests near the Massapequa area over the past week as reported by police:

  • Nov. 14: Someone reported that someone stole copper wiring from a construction site on Fiddler Lane in Levittown.
  • Nov. 16: Marcellis Mays, 34, of Hempstead and Kevin Terrell, 36, of Lakeview were arrested for shoplifting from Burlington Coat Factory on Stewart Avenue in East Garden City.
  • Nov. 16: A man reported that someone damaged his car and stole assorted tools on California Street in Hicksville.
  • Nov. 16: A 22-year-old Oceanside man was arrested for possessing marijuana at Nassau Community College on Education Drive in East Garden City.
  • Nov. 16: A 21-year-old Elmont man was arrested for possessing marijuana on Liberty Avenue in Mineola.
  • Nov. 17: A woman reported that someone cut three cables causing her Verizon phone lines to be inoperatable at the back of a building on Jericho Turnpike in Garden City Park.
  • Nov. 18: A man entered his car and stole his Apple iPad on Kuhl avenue in Hicksville.
  • Nov. 18: A man reported that someone entered his car and stole $200 in cash on Bridle Lane in Hicksville.
  • Nov. 20: A woman reported that someone entered her car and stole her handbag with contents on Texas Street in Hicksville.
  • Nov. 20: Marisol Cruz, 43, of Elmhurst was arrested for shoplifting from Burlington Coat Factory on Stewart Avenue in East Garden City.
  • Nov. 20: Joey Diaz, 24, of Valley Stream was arrested for shoplifting from Bloomingdales on Old Country Road in East Garden City.
  • Nov. 20: A man reported that someone keyed his truck while parked on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown.
