Police Investigating Four Reported Incidents of Public Lewdness in Massapequa Preserve Area
BREAKING: The incidents all involve naked men approaching women, police say.
MASSAPEQUA PARK, NY - Police are now investigating four separate incidents of men approaching women while naked in and near the Massapequa Preserve in Massapequa Park.
On Friday night, 57-year-old Andrew Parrucci, of Amityville was arrested for public lewdness for approaching a 39-year-old woman who was at the preserve, west of Lake Shore Drive just north of Jerusalem Avenue on Oct. 19.
Police originally believed that he was involved in a previous reported incident that occurred last month but since his arrest have received two more calls of similar incidents.

The first reported incident occurred on Sept. 24 south of Linden Street, according to police. The man involved is described as a white male wearing white sneakers, police said.
On Sunday afternoon, there were two more reported incidents of public lewdness.

The first occurred at about 3:30 p.m. that occurred two miles north from the entrance by Lake Shore Drive and Jerusalem Avenue. The second incident occurred at about 3:34 p.m. on the bike path on Clark Boulevard.
The first man is described as a 20 to 30-year-old white male wearing a grey sweatshirt and the second man is described as a black male around 50-years-old with a salt-and-pepper beard, police said.

No injuries or assaults were reported in these incidents.
Police have increased patrol around the preserve.
"This is a very vast park," Det. Lt. Richard LeBrun said of the preserve. "It goes on for miles from Merrick Road in Massapequa to the Bethpage golf course, which a six-mile area. It's a very beautiful area to walk and run, but it's a very difficult area to patrol."
LeBrun advised those who visit the area to "be aware of their surroundings."
