Shark Sighting Closes Swimming At TOBAY Beach
It's the fourth time this week that a shark sighting has closed a Nassau County beach to bathing.
MASSAPEQUA, NY — A shark sighting has led the Town of Oyster Bay to close TOBAY Beach to swimming.
It's the fourth day in a row that a shark sighting has led to the closure of a Nassau County beach to water.
Shark sightings earlier in the week were further west, leading to closures of the waters of Long Beach and the Town of Hempstead. In response to those sightings, both Nassau County and the Town of Hempstead have stepped up patrols to watch for sharks.
