A Silly

Thought

Now that it is a long time in the past, I can admit the truth.

There were not minutes, nor moments, but days when I felt totally overwhelmed with the responsibilities and care of The Fabulous Four.

Not that I didn’t love each and everyone. Of course, I did, and still do, but there were spaces of fear when I felt inadequate in coping with their activity, enthusiasms and yes, needs.

The moments of panic didn’t last long, but they were memorable and for a brief second or perhaps a bit more yesterday they came to mind.

While I no longer have to care for anyone other than myself, I have three devices and/or computers in my possession.

While one will hopefully return to its former Apple home in the near future, it currently needs to communicate with its maker.

This involves its bloodline, a USB cable and cord. It’s younger brother, a newer model, also has a different USB cable and cord, and of course, its sister, The Apple Ipad Pro, has a different one.

I must not get them confused. I know that, but it is a responsibility since they at moments seem identical except for length.

I would like to give them each their own individual area to rest until my transactions are complete, but the apartment does not have that amount of space.

They also have a desperate need to be charged constantly rather like an infant requiring feeding.

I have an efficient abode and quite sufficient for my own electrical needs (at the moment I do not require charging), but those that evolved from the world of Apple are far more demanding.

Occasionally I sense a well hidden wish to return to the world of a Parker Pen, blue ink and a ruled pad.

And of course, that is only a silly thought,

But is it?
