
Merrick is gearing up for the annual Spring Eggstravaganza, but a lack of funds may threaten the event, according to the North and Central Merrick Civic Association.
NCMCA officials said that if enough funds were not collected, the event may have to be cancelled.
The March 28 event and is open to all children with a suggested donation of $1.

While the organization receives donations during events, it is rarely enough to cover costs.
NCMCA is asking all members of the organization to pay their membership fees if they haven’t already. To help save the event, NCMCA is also offering family packages for $20. The packages allow members and their children to attend all events for free.
