Brooklyn Man Arrested On I-87 With Intoxicant: Police
The man was initially stopped for a moving violation.

NEWBURGH, NY — A Brooklyn man was arrested Dec. 13 after a traffic stop on I-87 in the Town of Newburgh. State Police said Kaid M. Addailam, 30, of Brooklyn was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and vehicle and traffic violations.
Addailam was stopped on I-87 around 9:05 a.m. for a moving violation. Police said, after speaking with him, that there was probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants.
The search revealed that Addailam was in possession of about 77 grams of cathinone, which is an intoxicant found in khat, a plant grown in Africa.

He was taken to the Newburgh barracks for processing.
Addailam was arraigned in the Town of Newburgh Court and sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail or bond.

He is scheduled to return to court Dec. 19.
