Jet Carrying Rapper Makes Emergency Landing At Stewart Airport

NEW WINDSOR, NY — A private jet carrying 16 people, including rapper Post Malone, made an emergency landing Tuesday at New York Stewart International Airport in Orange County. The Gulfstream Aerospace GLF-4 aircraft had blown two tires as it took off from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey around 10:50 a.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

The plane, which was supposed to travel to London Luton Airport in England, was initially diverted to Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport in Westfield, MA, after circling Teterboro to burn fuel.

Fox News said the plane was said to be making an emergency landing somewhere in Connecticut before it was diverted back to Stewart Airport.

Fox News and TMZ said the rapper boarded the jet after spending Monday night at the MTV Video Music Awards, where he took home an award for song of the year for his hit "Rockstar."

Malone tweeted after he landed safely at Stewart, saying, “i landed guys. thank you for your prayers. can’t believe how many people wished me death on this website. … but not today.”
