Much Deserved Spring: Poughkeepsie's Work Week Weather
There is a chance of thunderstorms late in the week. Here are the details for Beacon and Newburgh.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Hudson Valley Weather noted the complaints from people who used last week as proof that New York always goes from winter to summer. After all, they said, temperatures throughout April were below average in the Hudson Valley. And May did start off hot hot hot.
"But this week… we’ll get some much deserved SPRING!" Alex Marra and Bill Potter said.
There is a slight chance of a shower for some areas on Monday afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service. And a chance of thunderstorms Thursday.

Temperatures are expected to rise back into the lower 70s across most of the mid-Atlantic on Monday before approaching or reaching 80 degrees at midweek, said AccuWeather Meteorologist Brian Thompson. Coastal communities, however, will be slower to warm as cooler air flows in from the ocean.
