Police Seeking Suspect in Halloween Party Shooting, 2 Arrests Made
New York State Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information about the shooting suspect.

NEWBURGH, NY — Police have arrested two men and are seeking a third in connection with the shooting at a Halloween party Sunday that killed two Newburgh women.
A $2,500 reward is being offered by New York State Crime Stoppers for information leading to the location, arrest and conviction of Nija A. Johnson, 17, of Newburgh.
Crime Stoppers said anyone with information about Johnson can leave a message at 1-866-313-TIPS (8477). Callers may leave anonymous messages.

Johnson is being sought in connection with the shooting that injured five people and killed Tabitha Cruz, 20, and Omani Free, 18, at 119 Broadway.
Witnesses said the lights were turned out around 12:45 a.m. and random shots were fired.

Rainier Hamilton, 21, and Tyson Oliveira, 20, were arrested by police and accused of assisting the shooter, according to the Times Herald-Record.
The two Newburgh men were charged with tampering with evidence, the Poughkeepsie Journal said, with Hamilton additionally charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
