MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A construction worker has died after suffering a fall at a Midtown work site, officials told Patch.
It appeared that the worker fell down at elevator shaft at 281 Fifth Avenue shortly before 10 a.m., the FDNY spokeswoman told Patch. The worker, 22-year-old Yonkers resident Jonathan Lupinsky, was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, police told Patch.
A 51-story apartment tower is being built at the work site, which is located on the corner of Fifth Avenue and West 30th Street, according to building plans filed with the city Department of Buildings in 2015.
