Police Release Photos of Suspected Westbury Bank Robber

Robberies happened in February and March, cops said.

Nassau County Police released photos and a composite sketch Thursday of a man suspected of robbing two Westbury banks in February and March.

The first robbery was reported Feb. 23 at 11:14 a.m. at Bethpage Federal Credit Union on Old Country Road, cops said. The same man is believed to have robbed TD Bank on Brush Hollow Road on March 29 at 12 p.m.

During the robberies, the subject handed a demand note to a teller, cops said. He would also threaten that he had a gun, though no firearm was seen during either robbery, police said.

At TD Bank, the subject was described as a black male in his 20s, 6-foot to 6-foot-2, wearing a dark plaid jacket, brown knit cap, clear glasses and dark pants.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
