On June 17, 2021, at approximately 9 p.m., Major, along with two other defendants, who were convicted and each sentenced to eight years in state prison in 2022, followed the 33-year-old victim into a convenience store on North Broadway in Yonkers, confronted him and then left the store.
Major hit the victim in the shoulder with a glass liquor bottle as he exited the store and the three chased him as he ran away. Coates then jumped out from behind a car and smashed the victim in the head with another glass liquor bottle, knocking their victim out cold, but the attack continued and the victim was repeatedly struck and kicked in the head and to the body by a crowd that included Green.
During the attack, which was caught on surveillance video, jewelry was stolen from the unconscious man.
The victim was rushed to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. The victim continues to suffer from short-term memory loss, brain fog and takes anti-seizure medication, in addition to medication for migraines which he now regularly endures.
