The proposal includes significant spending at the Greenpoint liquefied natural gas facility in Brooklyn and has drawn pushback from advocacy groups urging regulators to require a full rate case for greater transparency and consumer protection.
   

• Free OMNY Cards Coming To CUNY Students: What To Know (patch.com) — New York City is launching a pilot that gives 700 financially eligible full-time CUNY students free, unlimited OMNY cards for subway and bus rides, with fall benefits starting Oct. 5 and potential extensions into spring. Funded with $700,000 in the city's fiscal 2027 budget, the program complements Fair Fares expansions and additional Council support for CUNY, including millions more for ASAP degree programs.
