There was plenty of news this past week on the Hudson Valley Patches. Did you catch it all? As happens too often, the glorious summer holiday season brought trouble as well as fun.

Two people died in crashes; three people were in the news for murder. Three other run-ins with the law had to do with embezzlement, food poisoning and cruelty to animals.
