2 Teens Arrested In Connection With String Of New Rochelle Robberies

NRPD said investigators nabbed the 18-year-old and 16-year-old suspects tied to a rash of West End robberies in recent months.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Police are hopeful that a wave of robberies in the city's West End has come to a close with the arrest of two teenage suspects.

New Rochelle detectives said their investigation has led to the arrest of two involved in multiple robberies that occurred in the West End of New Rochelle over the last few months.

Early Tuesday morning, detectives arrested a 16-year-old for a robbery that occurred on Feb. 28. Later that same day, at about 6 p.m., police also apprehended an 18-year-old suspect in the same robbery, who was also believed to have been involved in another robbery that occurred on January 16.

The 18-year-old has been identified by police as Brandon Scott of New Rochelle. He is charged with first degree felony robbery.

The identity of the 16-year-old is not being released by police because he is underage. He is charged with second degree felony robbery.
