Will he run? Should he run? No, we're not talking about former Vice President Joe Biden, who is still mulling whether he will toss his hat into the already crowded field of candidates for the Democratic nominee for the 2020 presidential election.

While Barack Obama's former veep considers running, he has led polls nationally and in key early primary states, cbsnews.com said.

The 76-year-old said at the University of Delaware recently that he is in the final stages of the decision-making process and that his family is not discouraging him from running.

That could be a "plus one," based on recent comments from New York's Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

In an interview with The Atlantic, the third-term governor and former HUD secretary under the Clinton administration said he didn't rule out running for president if Biden doesn't run.

"Call me back," he told the magazine.

Howard Kurtz, writing for Fox News, said Cuomo would be a strong candidate, at least on paper, in that he's come through with liberal goals for the state such as gun control and same-sex marriage.

However, Kurtz said his impression is that Cuomo the son has the same aversion to the White House as Cuomo the father had in the 1990s and would have laid more groundwork by now if that wasn't the case.
