Fired Ambulance Service Employees Sue for Wages

The workers claim the company that served Hudson Valley, including White Plains and New Rochelle, violated federal employment law.

The employees who were fired in a mass layoff by TransCare Corporation have filed federal lawsuits.

TransCare abruptly closed its doors Feb. 25 affecting 200,000 Westchester residents in the lower Hudson Valley, including the cities of White Plains, New Rochelle and Mount Vernon.

The former employees are seeking two-months wages and benefits for about 1,200 people who were fired in violation of federal employment law, according to an article at lohud.com.
