The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today on the North Fork.

(Patch Media)

Good morning, neighbors and friends. The Mattituck Lions Club Strawberry Festival kicked off last night with a Hulling Night that brought together generations of local families in a time-honored tradition. Hullers shared stories, laughed and helped prepare berries for all the upcoming festivities this weekend. Patch has a huge gallery of photos to be posted this morning. Check back to see your photo, if we met you at the festival! And if you have photos you'd like to add to the gallery, email them to Lisa. Finn@patch.com.

Tonight, the first-ever talent competition takes place at the Strawberry Festival and Patch will be there with live video to capture the fun.

Until tomorrow . . .
