Motorcyclist Charged With Driving Under Influence After Crash: Police: A Southold motorcyclist was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after a crash Thursday night, police said. According to Southold Town Police, the incident took place at 7:56 p.m. on Oaklawn Avenue near New York State Route 25. Fredrick Callis, 65, was involved in a single-motor vehicle crash on a black 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle, police said. (North Fork Patch)

  5. Man Shoots Teen Who Knocked On His Door: Police: A Laurel man shot a 15-year-old in the arm Thursday night after the teen knocked on his door a few times and ran away, police said. According to Southold Town police, the incident took place at 9:04 p.m. on Peconic Bay Boulevard in Laurel. James Moshier, 64, was arrested by detectives and charged with second-degree assault, seriously injuring a child with a weapon, authorities said. (Patch)
