Santa Claus is Coming to Southold Town; Kids Can Send Letters to Santa in Special Mailbox

Southold Town is pulling out all the stops for the big guy in the red suit this holiday season.

SOUTHOLD, NY — It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, especially in Southold Town.

Resident boys and girls are invited to come and meet Santa at Southold Town Hall on Saturday, December 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All children attending will receive a gift from Santa. Parents should remember to bring their cameras, town staffers said.

To ensure a reply from Santa, letters must be received by Friday, December 16.

Letters that arrive late will not be answered as it takes time for them to get to the North Pole, town staffers said.

"We do not want to disappoint any children so please mail your letters in a timely fashion," a notice from the town said.

Due to the volume of letters received, letters will be accepted from Southold Town residents only; remember to include a return address.
