Police Log: Man Reported Slumped Over Wheel, Arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol

Thursday, May 14
At 9:38 p.m., police arrested a 27-year-old Copiague man on Fort Salonga Road and charged him with criminal possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of marijuana and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.

At 5:01 a.m., police arrested a 20-year-old Commack man and charged him with driving while ability impaired by alcohol, third degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and failure to wear a safety belt. Officers arrested the suspect following a report of a male who was slumped over at the wheel of a car on Reservoir Avenue. Charges were later dismissed.
At 5 a.m., police arrested a 19-year-old Commack man on Reservoir Avenue and charged him with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Sunday, May 17
At 11:13 p.m., police responded to a domestic incident and arrested a 52-year-old Northport man on Blydenburgh Court. He was charged with second degree obstructing government administration and second degree unlawful imprisonment.
