Wednesday, April 22
At 9:33 p.m., police arrested a 22-year-old Northport man for criminal possession of a hypodermic needle. Officers discovered the needle when they pulled the suspect’s vehicle over for an unsafe lane change.

Thursday, April 23
At 10:10 p.m., police issued a field appearance ticket for a 19-year-old East Northport man after officers saw him throw a large soda cup on the ground.

At 11:49 p.m., police arrested a 19-year-old Smithtown man for criminal possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of marijuana and violation of park curfew.
Friday, April 24
At 2:41 p.m., police arrested Kevin McCauley, 23, Soper Avenue of Northport, and charged him with criminal sale of heroin, criminal sale of naloxone and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. He was arrested after officers saw McCauley selling drugs to another person for cash, police said.
