Gathering and Book Discussion

Piermont author Joan Dye Gussow will speak at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Rockland County on coping with the despair of living in a time of environmental crisis.

Gussow, referring to her most recently published book, Growng, Older, tells us that, "...the book is about the world coming to a terrible state and how to cope with that; how you learn to adapt to that.  A lot of what I'm talking about is about being grown up --- in a very childish age."

Joan Dye Gussow is a highly acclaimed nutrition educator who pioneered the movement to understand and address the effects of corporate food production and the global economy on our environment.  Gussow is the former chair of the Columbia University Teachers College Nutrition Department.
