Simplicity Parenting Group

If you have "had it" with parenting books that are packed with brilliant ideas, but offer no clue as to how to actually make them happen at home, this group might be for you. The group experience is...

  • Based on the book, Simplicity Parenting by Kim John Payne
  • Led by trained Simplicity Parenting Group Leader, Deb Renna
  • Composed of 4-12 participants meeting in 7 sessions over 7-14 weeks
  • Offers an effective blend of support, learning, and discussion
  • Uses new understanding of how change happens
  • Supports sustainable, simplifying, self-selected change
  • Enhances loving connection at home
  • Unites parents in the shared endeavor of parenting
  • Offers a place to explore your values as a parent
  • Explores ways to connect your parenting style/skills with your values
  • Builds community with other "Simplicity Families"

You will...

  • Explore Simplicity Parenting - why, how, when
  • Understand the four realms for simplifying
  • Self-select small changes in each realm
  • Learn how to design a change plan with your co-parent or friend
  • Give and receive support for enacting and sustaining it at home
  • Build new connections in the group and at home

Contact Deborah Renna at 845.356.2514 x322 for more information or to register. These evenings are a preview of the 7-week parenting workshop (open to GMWS parents and the community) that Mrs. Renna will lead, beginning in February 2011, on the GMWS campus
