Outdoor event will be held on May 1

, in another effort to reach out to youth in the community, is staging its inaugural Youth Sports Jamboree on May 1, noted Indians athletic director Joseph Sigillo.

The Jamboree—scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to noon, and open to all resident students in grades second to sixth—will be held at the various Nyack High athletic fields with spring coaches and athletes providing instruction and supervision.

Sigillo said the goal of the Jamboree, which he hopes will be conducted each spring, is to provide children with an opportunity to be physically active and learn the fundamental skills of several sports in a fun-filled, collaborative environment.
