Nyack-Piermont Patch Readers: Thank You For Helping Us Grow

Nyack-Piermont Patch just turned eight years old. Here's a snapshot of our recent readership numbers.

Thank you, Nyack-Piermont Patch readers, for taking time in your busy days to spend a few moments with Patch. We appreciate your visits and contributions, and we want you to know we take nothing for granted here. Thank you for helping us to grow and thrive this year.

Eight years ago, on Aug. 30, 2010, Nyack-Piermont Patch launched. We've come a long way, and you're a big reason why.

In August, Nyack-Piermont Patch recorded 20,211 visitors. For a combined population of less than 10,000 people in the two villages, that's a lot of readers! Our visitors hail from all the Nyacks, for sure, but many residents of neighboring towns also land on Nyack-Piermont Patch from time to time, too. That figure — compiled and verified through Google Analytics — includes readers on desktop, laptop, tablet, mobile and our app, and our visitors often access Patch on several devices over the month.

Got a news tip? I'm Lanning Taliaferro, your local editor. Nyack is one of my favorite places to visit (I live in Putnam County); I admit to being worried about driving through crowds of bicyclists on weekends but I am looking forward to walking across the Tappan Zee. Send your tips, ideas and questions my way at lanning.taliaferro@patch.com or if that's just too much to spell out, nyack@patch.com

And I hope you're already working on your costume or float for the Halloween parade Oct. 27 (as usual we'll list all the winners here afterward and show some of the fabulous photos from the Nyack Chamber of Commerce). Here's one of our favorites from the 25th annual parade in 2012.
