NYACK, NY — A Nyack resident received two presents this week, from the PFC Joseph P. Dwyer Veterans Peer to Peer Program and from BRIDGES, Rockland County's independent living center.

"With assistance from The Home Depot Foundation and the Nyack Home Depot, we have been able to build a wheelchair-accessible ramp in a Nyack veteran's home," said Juan Garcia, a Veteran Peer Support Specialist with the The PFC Joseph P. Dwyer Veterans Peer to Peer Program.

Arthur Hyman, a Korean war veteran, also received a new wheelchair, donated by BRIDGES.
