Quiz Show: Nyack v. Tappan Zee

Call it Nyack versus Piermont, quiz show-style.

Students from Nyack High School will battle it out with Tappan Zee High School students Wednesday on The Challenge, the MSG Varsity show that spotlights the region's brightest youngsters. High schoolers will answer questions related to current events, math, literature and other subjects.

The face-off will air 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16 on MSG Varsity, Cablevision’s iO TV channel 14.

"We're proud to celebrate academics on MSG Varsity through The Challenge and to provide these extremely bright students a platform to showcase their talents with their communities," said Theresa Chillianis, MSG Varsity's general manager. "Good luck to all of this year's teams."

Student teams will progress through several rounds, and have the opportunity to win $2,500 for their school. If students snag a win at the tri-state championship, they bring in $10,000.
