Ossining Hires New Bus Provider

Ossining Schools have hired Royal Coach, a longtime provider of school transportation services, to provide bus service for its six schools at a significant savings to the district.

Royal Coach, a Yonkers-based company, has been in operation since 1957. It has an outstanding track record, serving districts as large as the City of Yonkers and as small as Bronxville and Eastchester.

“Royal Coach’s commitment to cost savings, combined with a strong customer service ethic, made it the best choice to provide for Ossining’s transportation needs,” said Assistant Superintendent for Business Alita Zuber.

By searching for the most competitive pricing from vendors, eliminating three buses and

replacing contract monitors with monitors hired by the district, Ossining was able to save about $850,000 in transportation costs for next year. These savings helped keep the tax levy as low as possible while preserving important instructional programs.
