Kirkus Reviews has a Best Children's Books list, done alphabetically, which includes Inside Out and Back Again, by Thanhha Lai, and Blackout, by John Rocco.

Horn Book Fanfare lists Picture Books, Fiction and Nonfiction. Included in their lists are Balloons Over Broadway, by Melissa Sweet, and The Money We'll Save, by Brock Cole.
