Croton Democratic Primary

Three Croton-on-Hudson Democrats will battle for two Board of Trustee seats.

Before lawmakers lose, win or keep their seats come November, candidates within the same party will battle it out at the polls for a chance to be their party's champion. Primaries are slated for Thursday.

In Croton-on-Hudson, there are three Democrats in the primary vying for two seats on the village board. Kevin Davis, who decided to primary, will run against incumbent Ann Gallelli and first-time candidate Andy Levitt. Both Levitt and Gallelli received the Democratic Committee's endorsement, Davis did not, and has chosen to primary Gallelli and Levitt. The two victorious candidates will become Croton trustees, because there are no Republican challengers this year.

On Thursday, polls will be open from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. Patch will offer coverage of the primary on Thursday, including the results as soon as they become available.
