Croton-Harmon Students Collect Food to Help the Community
Croton-Harmon's Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School students worked with the annual food drive to benefit Croton Caring.

From the Croton-Harmon School District:
Croton-Harmon’s Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School students and their families stepped up to the plate in a big way in the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving.
“We hosted a food drive on behalf of Croton Caring,” said school counselor Vilma Torres-Pagán. “The food collected will benefit families in need in our community.”

From Nov. 10-16, students brought in food items including canned soup, tomatoes, tuna, vegetables, low-sugar cereal, pasta, rice, crackers, cereal bars, macaroni and cheese, and other nonperishable groceries. The generosity of the CET community was apparent with the many boxes that were filled during the drive.
In the coming month, Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School and Croton-Harmon High School will host food drives to benefit Croton Caring leading up to the winter holidays.
