Croton-Harmon Students Gain Insight on Budget Process

Assistant Superintendent for Business Diane Chaissan spoke with Croton-Harmon High School students about the district budget.

From Croton-Harmon School District: Croton-Harmon High School’s business math class recently welcomed guest speaker Diane Chaissan, the school district’s assistant superintendent for business.

Chaissan, along with teacher Kurt Lindner, led a discussion among the students using the Croton-Harmon Schools budget as an example. Topics discussed included budget creation, expenditures, revenue, reserves and bonding. Delving into the district budget provided a powerful opportunity for CHHS students to engage in conversation with an administrative professional and find real world applications for the concepts they have learned in class.
