Croton: Who Has Power, Which Streets are Still Blocked

Village update provides power restoration and road closure status for much of Croton as of Saturday early afternoon.

Power has been restored to part of Croton-on-Hudson and roads continue to be cleared. The top priority remains clearing all streets for use by service vehicles and residents, according to town officials.

The Community Room in the Municpal Building basement located at 1 Van Wyck Street remains open 24 hours a day. Residents can charge phones and computers or warm up. The library remains closed.

Officials ask that residents remember not to touch wires tangled in trees and that live wires also charge whatever it touches. The 13 kilovolts that most local wires carry is enough to kill, said officials.
