The Hudson Valley Coalition for a Fair Economy, which is hosting the event, is one of the members of the NYS Minimum Wage Coalition.
The agreement among lawmakers and Gov. Andrew Cuomo over the minimum wage was welcomed by the coalition though it was not all they wished. For example, the state Assembly had approved automatic cost-of-living increases; that provision was taken out of the final agreement.
