Founded in 1912 by Mary Josephine Rogers (Mollie), Maryknoll Sisters were the first group of Catholic Sisters in the United States to devote their lives in service overseas. Today they come from diverse cultural backgrounds,
serving in a variety of fields including medicine, communications, education, agriculture, social services and spiritual formation. Since then hundreds of Maryknoll women have witnessed to God's love in Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America, the Central Pacific and the United States. Maryknoll Sisters from many different countries
and backgrounds keep Mother Mary Josephines’s vision alive in missions
worldwide.
