The ongoing tragedy in Japan highlights the serious threat that nuclear energy poses to our safety. Join us in urging our state and federal officials to close the Indian Point nuclear reactors and replace them with clean, safe, renewable energy. Speakers will include public officials, nonprofit leaders, and concerned citizens.
- The aging and unsafe Indian Point nuclear reactors are located just 35 miles north of midtown Manhattan.
- More than 20 million people live and work within a 50 mile radius of Indian Point – evacuating this area would be impossible.
- A serious accident at Indian Point would be catastrophic.
Indian Point is not worth the risk! We can replace the power, we can’t replace the lives.
